Angers SCO has announced the arrival of Stéphane Gilli as the new manager, replacing Alexandre Dujeux who joined Lorient. The new manager of the Black and Whites has signed a two-year contract. Stéphane Gilli, 52, was dismissed as manager of Paris FC in late February, after leading the club to promotion to Ligue 1 the previous season. Alexandre Dujeux, 50, had taken over the Angevin team in March 2023, but was unable to avoid relegation to Ligue 2. He had managed to get the club back to Ligue 1 the following season, despite a personal tragedy, the death of his wife, in December 2023. Stéphane Gilli has a long experience as an assistant coach, having worked with Mecha Bazdarevic, René Girard or Vahid Halilhodzic in club or national teams. He was also manager of Paris FC, where he led the club to promotion to Ligue 1. Angers SCO fans are eagerly waiting to see how Stéphane Gilli will perform with the team. The new manager has a tough task ahead of him, but he is determined to succeed. And with the arrival of Stéphane Gilli, things could change for Angers SCO. The club needs a new boost to succeed in staying in Ligue 1. But for now, things are uncertain. So we will have to wait and see how things evolve.
